How Munkhong Legal Came to Be
Munkhong Legal was established in Bangkok with one purpose in mind: to provide families navigating inheritance and estate matters with a dependable, compassionate legal partner. The founders recognised that these situations rarely occur at convenient moments, and that the families involved deserved practitioners who would listen first and advise second.
Over the years, the practice has developed particular depth in Thai succession law, probate proceedings, and the representation of clients in contested situations. We work with Thai nationals and international residents alike, and have cultivated familiarity with the courts and administrative processes relevant to estate matters across the Bangkok metropolitan area.
Our approach has not changed since our founding: each client receives thoughtful, personal attention. We explain matters clearly, keep clients informed, and take care not to add pressure to circumstances that are already demanding. The choice of how to proceed is always yours.

ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
Inheritance Law in Thailand — Our Area of Expertise
Thai succession law draws from the Civil and Commercial Code, which sets out rules for how estates are distributed when a person passes away — both with and without a valid will. The rules can interact in complex ways with property ownership structures, particularly for families that include foreign nationals or have assets held across more than one jurisdiction.
At Munkhong Legal, we have built our practice specifically around these situations. We help clients prepare wills that reflect their intentions clearly and hold up under scrutiny. When a family member has passed away, we assist the people left behind with the practical and legal steps that follow — court filings, correspondence with government departments, and the administration of assets until distribution is complete.
Where family members disagree about the validity of a will or the distribution of an estate, matters can become more involved. Representation in these situations requires careful preparation and a measured approach. Our team takes the time to understand the circumstances fully and to prepare documentation that presents your position clearly to the court.
We work with clients based in Bangkok and across Thailand. We also assist international residents and expatriates who hold assets or family ties in the country. Initial enquiries are always welcomed without any obligation to proceed.
